Fry Family Farm belongs to Suzy and Steve Fry in Talent, Oregon.
We have been growing certified organic vegetables, flowers and nursery plants in the Rogue Valley since 1990. We started with one small greenhouse and a few acres in Talent when our children were young. Farming was a passion that Steven and I had. It was a job that didn't pollute the planet, our lives, or anyone else, and a good way to stay home and raise our five daughters in a wholesome way.
As our daughters grew so did our farm. We now have ten greenhouses where we grow certified organic plant starts as well as in ground flowers and vegetables. We own and lease about 70 acres of land in Talent (on Wagner Creek where we live), in Phoenix (behind Rising Sun Farms), and in Medford on Ross Lane.
We are privileged to have a great staff of hardworking, dedicated people who we greatly appreciate, because they make this whole thing happen. From seeding to harvesting, delivering to markets, and everything in between, our team and extended family brings it all together to make our farm the success that it is.
Three of our daughters, Terra (17), Aurora (19), and Star (22), still work for us when they are not in school. Sara (29), attends The San Francisco Academy of Art University, and Amber (24), who lives with Sara in San Franscisco and works as an aesthetician.
We sell our organic vegetables, flowers, and nursery plants at many local retail outlets. We also sell at the Ashland, Medford, and Grants Pass Growers Markets. A list of these locations can be found under the "local retail outlets" link.
In 2005, we started a CSA membership program and delivered fresh local produce and flowers once a week during the season to area homes. We were so grateful for the trust our members placed in us! At the end of the season, we were so pleased with the incredible positive feedback we received from our members. What a wonderful blessing this has been for everyone.
